How has tax cuts for the rich worked out? How has subsidies for inner city investment worked out? How has need to reduce regulations to stimulate investment workout or long term no tax on internet sales worked out.

I don’t consider myself a socialist nor a democratic socialist but we need new ideas, new energy. NYC has had rent control for a long time yet still thrives. Many, many major cities offer free buses and reduced transportation costs. I’m not willing to say it won’t work when many of our current approaches don’t work.
