And you're completely ignoring what I actually said. I said Republicans will start caring if Trump's approval rating continues sinking. If Trump falls to 30% approval, people will be crawling over each other to run away from him.

In 2018, Trump's approval was at 39% in early September, Republicans ended up losing 40 House Seats. Trump's approval with Republicans has already dropped on all issues. Just wait until these people start losing their Medicaid coverage, inflation skyrockets and the country enters a recession. I guarantee once things start negatively hurting them directly, many will turn on him.
