i agree with the sentiment here-in of not shaming MAGAs who come around, and that could include conservative Republicans who have drawn the line at ending democracy. And as you have said, it's powerful hearing from people who have had the courage to change and help dismantle the problem they helped create, and the focus needs to be their heroic new stance than their former mistake.

But man, Liz Cheney could have helped it NOT HAPPEN. For example, does she see the connection between her opposition of Voting Rights bills to the rise of Trump and MAGA?

Naming Liz as author has made me wrestle with this issue. Easier for me to respect Liz for what she has actually done on our behalf without painting her as more liberal than is plausible.

Then, lets focus on the message. Is anyone doing any of this? Is there anyone with the power and skills hearing this and responding? How do we get this to the people who need to see it, and hear back from them, instead of just hoping?
