6. I've been to the old courthouse and courtroom in Dayton, TN

I was there for hiking to waterfalls in the nearby Laurel-Snow Pocket Wilderness, and decided to visit the courthouse. In the basement of the old building is a fine little museum about the famous Scopes Monkey Trial.

Out front stands a statue of William Jennings Bryan.
