Trump's modus operandi is to break things then do the absolute minimum necessary to look like he's fixing things, while claiming that only he can fix them. The West Coast breaks free from Trump's control? It's a civil war, he can use it as an excuse to impose martial law while simultaneously looking like a saviour for reigning in the rebellion. He'll be even bigger than Lincoln!!
