It needs to end now, as it is certainly easily abusable, apparently.
Perhaps the whole concept of governance is so fraught that we should abandon the notion and revert to the Cave. We're already firmly on the path to brutishness and might as well "Eat the Devil as Drink His Broth", as my Wizened Granny used to say.
So much time, energy and government wasted trying to establish "whose ass is blacker" that we are ignoring any chance we have to better the lives of rank-and-file Americans.
All the while, larceny runs rampant and the rich get richer.
