chaos. So there are 2 choices, either everyone involved is so oblivioius that they don't see the potential results of their actions or the devastation and chaos are the intended result.
I firmly believe that the second option is the truth. I believe that the extremely wealth don't deny global warming, don't deny overpopulation, don't deny the problems with over consumption, and endless war. I believe that they have decided that destroying the majority of the rest of us is a better answer than sharing. I think someone at Marvel comics agrees and that is why they presented Thanos as the villian trying to destroy half the universe.
We are at war.
