4. It is impossible to predict how this plays out

On one hand, there is a loud passionate part of Trump's own base that believed the Q CTs of pedophile rings. They see Jeffery Epstein as one of those who led one. They apparently bought that Trump broke with him when he knew Epstein was a creep and bizarrely thought he was the only person who would go after these rings. How they ignore more than a decade of friendship and all the public statements of Trump readily available is beyond me.

There is NO QUESTION that both Epstein and Maxwell are among these hated pedophiles. From their perspective, as ours, she does not deserve a pardon. They might see an exception if she gave them what is needed to bring down any still existing part of that enterprise. However, there may be no part of it left ... even if others adopted the model. Also, she refused to cooperate decades ago - meaning if it was still ongoing, she let it continue harming more children. A pardon now is inexcusable.

However, Trump has pardon powder and, as with all the J6 people, he is willing to use it to help himself feel justified. Consider a recent post where he portrays himself as the hunter who previously was hunted, the J6 people were pardoned, the career professionals who prosecuted them were fired and he often states as fact that he won THREE elections. Even 2016, where he won, he with help from Barr still is fighting the idea that Russia interfered by influencing voters.

The problem here is that Trump pardoning someone no one questioned aided a pedophile ring could be a step too far. Also, even if she was not guilty of perjury, any statement by her that Trump was never involved after a pardon would probably not be believable to that part of his base. Pardoning Maxwell especially if it is seen as done to get that statement could be something unforgivable.

So, what would be seen as a valid reason to give a pardon? If it were information that brings down an existing pedophile ring that could be worth it. But, it has been almost a decade since she would have been actively involved. Not to mention, if Trump were interested, he should be helping Senator Wyden get the information on money flows.
