...will explain away why this country is now being run by a cabal of fascistic white supremacist Christian Nationalists by saying "It was the price of eggs". So many people just can't come to terms with the fact their mom, dad, Aunt Billie, and Uncle John are just fine with whatever it takes to keep this a "white man's country", so they buy into whatever smokescreen is thrown up to keep them from thinking their relatives are bad people. And bigots are bad people. Not necessarily evil people, but bad people nonetheless.

And the Democrats and "liberals" who see black and brown people as interchangeable, such as when a Joy Reid loses her job, but black people should be relieved because a Michael Steele is taking her place, aren't that far away from this.
