Which is one of the problems in a long list of other issues. That, in and of itself will always push people away. A thread like this, while seemingly sincere, can quickly turn into a fishing expedition to root out "heretics" who will not follow the prescribed party line and message control on every issue. If the Overton window of "acceptable" Democratic Party and liberal discourse is breached, some people start foaming at the mouth like rabid wolves stalking their prey and the authoritarian voice of the boss and ruling class sensibilities come full bloom very quickly. When people are in deep denial and immersed in subjective personal beliefs as politics, rather than objective reality, any possibility of critical thinking and real discussion leaves the building quickly.
