I think one issue with Dems is that it's hard to recruit wise people to lead. They have better things to do. They don't need the money, and the people they would hope to guide and lead are a mixed bag. Good, solid, caring, hardworking, honest, patriotic, friendly, tolerant people...most of us. Others charmless, foolish, lost, and, unfortunately, (the law of large numbers being what it is) ranging to the threatening and monstrous.

We Dems have been learning a lesson from the Trump victory and the loss of key demographics. The people we lost are not bad people. They're good people who are gettable backable. My greatest fear is that Trump's malfeasance will somehow give the "Queens of Hearts" back some of their sway. They weren't right all along, but the idiocy and nastiness of Trump will let them believe they were and sell others on it. And then we'll get President J.D. Vance.
