3. A military coup will never happen unless there are mass civilian protests where military force is used to stop them

I'm talking tens of thousands, not a few hundred here or there. I think protests need to be organized against the money behind fascism, the gated neighborhoods, forts where the rich elite live. That is the soft underbelly of fascism, that is where the military would have to decide whether to murder friends and family or join them.
