This is becoming an ever more frequently used Republican voter suppression tactic. Officials really need to come up with a better way of dealing with it than shutting down polling places for most of the day. It's especially insideous since Republicans are committed the outlawing every voting method except in person election day voting, and then they try to get all the polling places in Democratic areas closed on election day.
