Well okay then. Now that we’ve all been disrupted and murdered on Thanksgiving, what next? Trump went on to use the slur “seriously retarded” to describe Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Yes, Trump really called him that. The odd part is that Trump doesn’t use this particular slur in his social media rants. It’s not out of any sense of decency. It’s that the word simply isn’t in his wheelhouse.


And so here we have a holiday rant from Trump that’s twice as unhinged as usual, and includes words and phrases that Trump’s posts normally don’t, and in fact seems to be written in an entirely different style than any of Trump’s previous posts. And while the writing is simplistic and juvenile, it’s far more sophisticated than anything Trump could come up with. So who wrote this?


With Trump so deep into dementia, the story the media should be covering is this: who’s been posting unhinged rants in Trump’s name on Trump’s social media account? Why has someone else apparently taken over that role? More to the point, who’s running the country in Trump’s cognitive absence? For that matter, when is the media going to acknowledge Trump’s cognitive absence at all?
