4. A martinet. The kind of brass we all hated.

I was in the air wing. All of our officers were pilots and all pilots had to fly a certain amount of hours to get their flight pay.

Most were acceptable but a couple of them didn't have the sense not to piss off the peasants who worked on your assigned plane. Sometimes, the the asshole plaples started to get grounded just before they took off. It was whits now called FAFO.
