The cocktail of heart meds after an arrhythmic event echoed a lot across family members. One of them had a particular problem with this drug, falling and hitting his head a couple of times after he started taking it. Its a known side effect.
My laymans simplistic comprehension of what the drug does is slows the response of the heart to reduce the chance of arrhythmias, but when you stand up your heart naturally needs to respond so that it can maintain blood pressure and pump blood up your body to your head. A drug that delays that response can allow the blood pressure to drop dangerously low.
