St. Paul Police say a federal agent fired their weapon after being hit by a vehicle
The St. Paul Police Department said federal agents were involved in a use-of-force incident Sunday morning after a federal agent was struck by a vehicle.
According to police, just after 8:20 a.m., officers were called to the 1300 block of Westminster Street, where gunfire had been reported.
After they arrived, officers said they learned a federal agent had been hit by a vehicle and fired their weapon in response.
Police said the suspect believed to have hit the agent was not injured and was taken into custody. The injured federal agent sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
St. Paul Police stated that their officers were not involved in the arrest or the use-of-force incident.
At this time, it has not been confirmed which agency, if any, will investigate the use-of-force incident.
