Also, Dershowitz may have held those views for a long time, but it is curious that he wrote this Op-Ed in a major US paper right after he became friends with Epstein who was raping 14 & 15 year old girls at the time. Of course, Epstein was not engaging in consensual encounters in general so one could argue it wouldn't have made a difference, but to people like Epstein, I'm sure he viewed many of his rapes as consensual.
