More than half the parts are imported

"For BMWs made in the USA (mostly X-models at Plant Spartanburg), a significant portion of parts are imported, with estimates suggesting around 50-60% by value come from outside the US/Canada, though this varies; while they use U.S. suppliers like BorgWarner and Mahle for certain components, a large chunk of high-tech and core parts come from Germany and elsewhere."
