rolls if you haven't voted in two or more election cycles.

People here have pissed and moaned about that, but let me tell you, if you've ever campaigned door-to-door, voter lists in hand, you'll understand why deleting non-voting voters is a good idea.

I ran for office, once upon a time. I lost, but going door-to-door with the voter lists was interesting. Some addresses would have ten different people with five different surnames listed. So I'd knock, and then could ask, "Is this Steve Smith? Walter Johnson? Emily Jones?" People tended to be a bit annoyed when I didn't immediately know who they were.

What many people also don't understand just how many others they share a name with.
