3. I'm convinced Trump would love to go down in history as the guy who orchestrated / triggered WW III.

Mary Trump had another piece recently, which I didn't post here, because it covered familiar ground...essentially that nothing gets her uncle off more than savoring the suffering of others.

And if you look at the events of 2025, as a whole, and ask "Where is this going," I don't think WW III is "tinfoil hat" at all.

I look at Russia or China or North Korea and I think "screw with them, and they point a nuke at us and vaporize half of the USA."

I don't have the same reaction with Venezuela...or Greenland...or any other nation Trump named today. He's playing it safe. He's fighting countries that really aren't in a position to go nose-to-nose with the USA and win.

But he's angering enemies and allies alike.

We can't "assume" that if Trump DID kick off a global conflict, 100% of our allies in the past would be on our side.

He spent much of 2025 insulting and alienating some of the best friends the USA has ever had, like Canada.

I have friends in Canada. We talk about it on occasion. They don't "blame me" and they wouldn't blame anyone on DU who's reading this. Do they blame the USA in broad, general terms (as in the 77 million who voted for Trump)? Yes, they do. They don't blame the 74 million Harris voters. They do feel that everyone else has ownership of this mess.
