Vote counting machines are purchased at the local level - state or county (which entity varies from state to state). Each jurisdiction owns their own machines. Several manufacturers provide the machines which are purchased by the local jurisdictions, so even at the vendor level, there is not one vendor which provides the machines which counts the votes.
