We don’t currently have military forces in Venezuela and we certainly aren’t “running the country.” Trump can certainly try to coerce the remaining Venezuelan government but unless he’s willing to put a lot of boots on the ground, or keep kidnapping its leaders, Trump’s leverage is fundamentally limited. Marco Rubio certainly is not going to run the country.
