He might win some districts in the metro A2/Detroit area, but as you head out of the suburbs, it’s mostly red with a few small blue spots here and there throughout the state. How many times has he run statewide for a nomination now? He lost to Whitmer a few years ago. I think it was 2018.

Stevens should be a good fit, in the same mold as Slotkin.
