6. My nephew, born/raised in Southern California lived there years ago and LOVED it!

He was a very urbane kind of guy and found the atmosphere and people to be very friendly and very sophisticated in a down home welcoming sort of way. Lots of great cultural events. Loved the covered walkways between buildings where his apartment was (I guess in downtown area?) and never had to go outside in winter.
