Gisele Barreto Fetterman became a naturalized citizen in 2009, only a year or so after Melania did.

The difference is that Gisele Fetterman came to the US at the age of 7 with her family in 1989, and they were undocumented immigrants at the time. She now holds multiple university degrees, and she has unquestioned street cred as a progressive liberal Democrat.
