15. Cool! I was a couple blocks from St Sofia. At a previous role, we had an office there that I worked at a few times.

As the other poster below stated, it’s like a time capsule inside…the soviets almost bulldozed it. More of a museum now. The Lavra area is active of course. That was an enormous space…incredible….as you know…

On the weekends I walked about 12-15 miles per day exploring. The long park overlooking much of the city was great - and that’s where I walked many of those miles! I remember, the footbridge crossing the Dnieper where people were bungee jumping…the island in the river on the other side had a pretty good beach for being in Kyiv! No plans…just left the hotel and walked in general directions! I could go on and on…

Lavra took more than half a day….that was my biggest recommendation to people until the war started.
