It was a massive intelligence conspiracy, with sex trafficking and drugs no doubt a part of it as well as selling of state secrets and it was no doubt how Trump was both able to keep others under control, and how others made sure that Trump remained at least somewhat under control. He is not the mastermind, though likely he is part of a cabal.

Here's the problem for him. Trump is now a liability. He's exposing the network due to his incompetence and increasing senility, and important people - not just those who were ensnared but also those who were involved - are increasingly coming under the spotlight. He's making mistakes and losing enough support that no amount of electoral shenanigans are going to keep the illusion that he has popular support - or that he actually won the election in 2024 that he likely lost (note, I have never believed that he legitimately won in 2024, not by the margins that he did).

Things are unravelling. We have a GOP Texas Congressman that is embroiled in a major sex scandal who may tip the House, Democrats are winning in by-elections that they've not done in decades, and the spotlight is now on elections at a very bad time for the GOP - and Trump. He doesn't have hold of the military, and ICE, while not neutered, has been dealt some serious blows.
