"we shall be greeted as liberators." [View all]

Trump is drumming out the old theory that we're doing the Iranian people a favor by destabilizing their country, killing their people, and stepping in to take over the reins of government. However, the Iraq war was approved by congress, for better or worse, and this time it's one man's war against a sovereignty, albeit an oppressive one.

Past presidents have dodged the powers of legislation by avoiding the word "war". It's a police action, a military exercise, or a limited surgical strike. But this time he's using the word "war", a war with very real casualties and vague goals known only to him. He has all by himself literally declared war on Iran without congressional oversight, without a clear goal or an exit strategy. It was an attack scribbled on the back of a cocktail napkin with no plans for after the bombs fall.

All on the whims of one man. One man who has a difficult time constructing a complete sentence or understanding how government works. Doesn't the CIA have some secret shadow government failsafe plan for when this happens?
