(29,288 posts)The first time the psycho was elected, I knew nothing about him except what I read on DU. I thought okay, it will be bad, but we'll survive it. We did, and President Biden did a terrific job of clean up.
This time, I got nauseous when it was announced on election night. I screamed, I swore, I cried. The anxiety and dread have been overwhelming at times. I have to tune out--go play with the dogs, work in the gardens, ride my horse, or read a good book. I'm getting those same vibes again when I think about what may happen with these next elections. Congress seems ineffectual, and so do judges when they don't enforce their orders. The Supremes seem to have pulled their robes over their heads most of the time. Our protests are like background noise for the big picture. Its scary. Its depressing.
My motto: If you're not paranoid, you're not paying attention.
