I avoid news on television but substitute public radio news calmer voices and without the videos it seems to keep my anxiety down. Or I get it on PBS.
Singing to favorite songs helps too. And we now have a back deck that is getting me outside more, so I get to listen to wind rustling leaves and birds enjoying our bird feeder. Right now in Central Texas we've been having daytime highs in the 80s, so it's lovely out there.

The President is an evil, insane monster. I feel like I am watching a trashy end of the world movie.

You are right to feel anxious. In 2015 I tried to get my husband to move out of the US

At 66, for the first time in my life, I went on anti-anxiety pills, after Trump won again.
