In reply to the discussion: Hot Damn. Sen Tillis is the man. [View all]yardwork
(69,242 posts)44. Tillis grew up poor.
I imagine he was taught how to train hunting dogs. The wannabe "farmer" and ice Barbie probably revolts him on a personal level.
Edited: I just watched the clip. He's offended by ICE Barbie cosplaying being a "farmer." It is personal.
Editing again: Tillis's upbringing is different than I thought. From wiki:
Tillis was born in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of Margie and Thomas Raymond Tillis, a boat draftsman.[8] He was the oldest boy among six children, with three older sisters. By the time he was 17, his family had moved 20 times, living in New Orleans and Nashville, among other places; Tillis never attended the same school in consecutive years.[9] Tillis, his father, and his two brothers are all named Thomas Tillis.[10] One of his brothers, Thomas "Rick" Tillis, served in the Tennessee House of Representatives.
Following his 1978 graduation from high school, Tillis left home to get a job.[11] He then attended Chattanooga State Community College before receiving a Bachelor of Science in technology management from the University of Maryland University College in 1986.[9][11][12]

He's not running for re-election. Think he would have spouted out that way if he was running?

I've left him some strongly worded messages, but I don't think that's what got him in a twist

I'm glad he did it, but he's ONLY doing it because he's not running for re-election.

Underneath the GOP fear of Trump there appears to be a great deal of anger.
