7. I think that is vastly overstating it but it also seems clear that damage to US bases is being censored

Yesterday

Gulf states are now arresting people who post videos of missiles landing. Before that repression started, we definitely saw missile strikes at the Bahrain HQ of the Fifth fleet and regional CENTCOM, taking out at least two pretty big radar centers. We know some of the US bases in Iraq have been hit repeatedly, with big explosions, for example, at the Harir air base in Erbil. The Kuwait strike that killed six servicemembers was a direct hit, and the bad press out of that one may be spooking DoD from releasing more information on base strikes and casualties. The amount of table pounding coming out of WH and DoD does not inspire confidence.

As a side note, I'll also say that the US internet is currently awash in trolls whose only point seems to be "We're absolutely destroying them! To say otherwise is delusional! They have no ability to fight back!" I mean, OK, great. So why the insistence? In my experience, people claiming to be that confident about something rarely need to be that insistent.
