It has been known to get things wrong at times. I think it's spot on here, though.

"There have been no formally recognized Democratic, interim, or permanent, FBI directors in the bureau's history. All officially appointed FBI directors, including acting/interim leaders, have been Republicans or independents, even when appointed by Democratic presidents.

Key Interim/Acting Leaders (Non-Democratic):
Andrew McCabe (Acting): Served May 9, 2017 – August 2, 2017, following the firing of James Comey.
Thomas J. Pickard (Acting): Served June 25, 2001 – September 4, 2001.
Floyd I. Clarke (Acting): Served July 19, 1993 – September 1, 1993.

While some directors, such as James Comey, have been described as having Democratic roots before later identifying as Republicans or independents, the role has historically been filled by those aligned with the Republican party."

We just keep shooting ourselves in the foot trying to appear "bi-partisan."
