Forced retirements, cancelled promotions and even outright demotions would drive many good people out of the services.

Additionally, some good people would not want the stench to follow them so they left voluntarily.

The U.S. military-- like the Department of Justice-- has been reshaped into an arm of Trumpism.

It's dangerous and pathetic.
