unethical tech companies can be, including AI companies.

But when their entire industry is built on theft of the world's intellectual property, those companies are fundamentally unethical, no matter how much lip service their execs might give to ethics because it's good PR. Some of those execs might even have deluded themselves into thinking they are ethical, if they just don't count the IP theft their AI models couldn't work well without.
