They think they are smart and have it all figured out, and are part of a culture where those that don't agree are bad.

See how easy that shit is to say when you don't have to back it up with empirical evidence/data? Anyone can do it.

Anyway...

The idea that comedy "has gotten more political in recent years" would be surprising to George Carlin or Richard Pryor or Bill Hicks or Paul Mooney or Lenny Bruce.
