Let me tell you what's going to happen, because I've seen this show at least twice before.

Janet Mills, who's been a decent and courageous governor of Maine, will lose the primary. She's being accused of a lot of garbage, the usual: "She's an oligarch who's been anointed!!! She's responsible for genocide in Gaza!!!! She doesn't CAAAAAAARE about you!!!!!" And so forth. So she'll lose.

As the general election approaches Susan Collin's campaign will unleash a bunch of stuff on Platner. Maybe they'll release documents showing he was a buddy of Epstein, or something. (It won't have to be true. The falser and more outrageous the better. Big lies work.)

Susan Collins will be reelected and the Republicans will hold control of the Senate by a vote or two. Another lifetime loser will be appointed to the Supreme Court. Nobody will impeach or even investigate Trump. The oligarchs will remain firmly in control.
