(459 posts)I saw your response, and I responded when I saw it. I didnt take any note of how old the thread is because I dont come here often. And I didnt call you a name. I simply described your assertion as delusional, which is perhaps a harsh way to phrase it. I apologize for that phrasing. Nevertheless, I stand by my assertion. Serving in a state legislature is in not comparable to serving in the United States Congress. I have worked in both settings. The roles are related, but not equivalentstate legislators operate within a system, while members of Congress help define the system at a national level.
Saying state legislative experience is equivalent to serving in Congress is like saying managing a city department is the same as running a multinational corporation. Both involve leadership and decision-making, but the scale, complexity, and consequences are on entirely different levels.
