I don't think there's a single heir apparent. Once Old Colostomy sheds his mortal coil, the movement will fragment.

Too many Red Hatters will view Rubio as an immigrant. I'm fully aware that he's not, but he'll be perceived that way.

And he has no charisma at all. He's not as offensive as Vance, but neither is a clean sock.
