If he DOES try to stage something before the election, as Putin urged Orban to do, these things are completely ho-hum now. Another one won't dominate the news cycle for more than a day. It won't be the Reichstag event he would wish it to be.

FAFO.

Full disclosure: I think this was a real attempt, though no closer than attempts that happened to Obama 15 times. I think Butler, PA was a hoax.
