Democrats in general have been almost completely silent about things Democrats want to see in our society, at the same time that Republicans have been screaming about "woke" and "open borders".

See Overton Window.

Biden was the least visible President in modern history, the fewest news conferences, and he almost never talked about any big vision for the country. Obama was more visible, but always in a "no Drama, Obama" way. And before that we had Clinton , who is best known for triangulating as a "new Democrat".

We have to go back to Carter to find anybody consistently advocating for progressive values. Most Americans alive today were born after Carter left office.

Every Republican since 1988 entered office with lower popular vote than the Democrat they were running against. (Trump's second term was delayed 4 years.)
