I have wryly thought over the years that I see people here talk about DU being helpful for sanity and that is really true for many of us.
No systems of trust these days when even the NIH has been contaminated for so long by sellouts who sold put to Google and Facebook and now it is Musk and Palantir which is where appeasement and selling out lead.

And I like that you are all thorny and prickly though nice. I don’t trust overly agreeable people. I mean one tries (sometimes without much success) to maintain a civil facade.

I don’t know if you have read Stepford Wive BumRushDaShow - really good book - and Bobbie says at one point that she liked going outside Stepford and seeing real women all irritable and so on.

But now I have realized there are many corollaries to that. If the “blind orchestra” Trumpian diversity smoothly orchestrates your voice through some foul portal so you go and yell at some unfortunate human orphans (ai is not human) thinking they are a creepy, splashy school of spoilt, wealthy brats of the soulless technocrats of Google etc, that is not irritable the useful human way. That is just being a jerk.

If I could target my ire and cooperation well through a screen..I don’t think that is possible. That is why I like DU.
