Carl Hiaasen, John Sandford, Randy Wayne White, Walter Mosley, Elmore Leonard and others. Our library has a good selection of digital books.

Amazon often has old stuff, Earle Stanley Gardener, Rex Stout, Spillane, MacDonald, et al available in Kindle editions for a buck or two.

Should you wish to be amazed that we survived past childhood, L. Douglas Keeney's 15 Minutes: General Curtis LeMay and the Countdown to Nuclear Annihilation will remind you of what the bottom of your school desk, or the lockers in the hallway looked like.
