I don't think they believe any of that. All of that religiosity is just cover for their cruelty and bigotry. If they had a choice between keeping the "Christian" pretense but stopping the cruelty and bigotry, or giving up Christianity and keeping the cruelty and bigotry, which one do you think they would take?
