Speed Running at Church of Scientology by idiots [View all]

In Hollywood and New York City, a group of people forced their way into the Church of Scientology running through the building damaging property all the while filming themselves. Regardless of their reason for doing this, it is unacceptable and those involved in it should be prosecuted for trespassing, vandalism, and any other charges that may apply.

After weeks of viral “speed running” videos filmed at the Church of Scientology’s Hollywood building have garnered millions of views, a similar stunt appears to have been attempted in New York.

On Saturday, a group of individuals gained entry to the midtown Manhattan church after breaking through a locked door.

“During the incident, property was damaged, objects were thrown, and a staff member was physically struck and injured, requiring medical attention,” a spokesperson for the Church of Scientology said in a statement.

Social media videos verified by NBC News show a group of individuals attempting to enter the building through a locked door before eventually gaining access. The video then shows the group filing through inside hallways, and grabbing items, including a folding chair.

I'm an atheist and it doesn't matter if you approve or disapprove of the Church of Scientology. They have a right to operate just like any other religious group whether your or others disagree as to them being a religious organization. If the speed runners did this to a Catholic, Protestant, Methodist, or any Christian church people would be up in arms about it. If we are to respect the rights of any religion to function within the law then we have to respect all religions that function within the law.
