12. My youngest son just got word that . . .

His insurance firm is looking at laying off 50% of their agents within the next year. My son has run his own office for over 15 years. All dental and vision insurance plans will be canceled by January 2027. Their contracts have been completely revamped to the detriment of flesh and blood employees and contractors.

The company is going digital/AI.

The jobs? They're going extinct.

In my son's words: How the hell are people suppose to live?
