Corporate attitudes are no longer provide useful goods and services first and get reasonably compensated second.

The goal now is to maximize profit by any means necessary.

This includes corrupting laws; milking the legal, regulatory, tax, and bankruptcy systems; making service *worse* wherever it saves money (warranty claims, refunds, cancelations, returns, etc.)

Note that the system we have as no longer "capitalism" in a true sense because there's insufficient or ineffective competition in many industries. What we have at best is "economic anarchy" where those in a position to do so get whatever they can get and there's really not much anyone can do about it.

Arguably, it's even worse with the government actively helping the upward wealth extraction.
