Yesterday

so it contributed to inflation and continues to contribute to higher inflation expectations, which to some degree is a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Also, the tariff game contributed to the trump grift as he profited from granting waivers in exchange for various contributions and also surely did some insider trading based on it.

It's so corrupt it literally made no sense other than as a vehicle for corruption.
