From the article linked in the op:

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) told his staff he thought he could be the vice presidential nominee on the Democratic ticket in 2028, prompting disbelief, New York Magazine’s Intelligencer reported Thursday.

Dude really sounds out of touch with reality. Alarmingly so. How can he be that oblivious to how Democrats feel about him? Has he not heard that plans are already being made to primary him in 2028? The only possible use he could be to any Democratic presidential candidate would be as a boat anchor!

If he is really this clueless, he must have some kind of glitch in his brain that would make him unfit to hold any public office.
